MSW, LCSW, LCAS, CLINICAL DIRECTOR
I believe in the individual's ability to create positive change, express him/herself creatively, and find meaning in their lives as they age. I see each client as unique, and as a result, my approach varies according to the needs of each individual. I believe the most important factor in successful treatment is the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist and not a particular theory or therapeutic approach.
I specialize in working with adults, older adults, caregivers, as well as, those experiencing grief and loss. I have extensive training in working with seniors and believe that aging often represents survivorship and immense strength. In preparing for my work, I earned a Master of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Aging Studies and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of NC at Greensboro. I am licensed by the state of NC as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. Further, I hold certification as a Dementia Care Specialist.
If you or a family member is having difficulty managing a history of losses, caregiving responsibilities, the need for care, isolation, loneliness, loss of independency, depression, anxiety, financial issues, physical problems, cognitive decline, and/or chronic health conditions, please reach out to us. Hope exists, and I look forward to helping you work toward your unique goals.
